This independent horror short directed, produced, written and edited — both video and audio — by Award-winning filmmaker Chase Michael Pallante through his production company RNF, has made its rounds throughout the world winning awards at various national and international film festivals and now is making its cable television debut tomorrow night.

DEFARIOUS is about a woman who wakes up in the middle of the night from trauma, grieving from her mothers death, and ultimately is terrorized from a horrifying experience alone in her house. The film centers around the taboo condition of Sleep Paralysis and troubling emotions like abandonment, isolation and the simple fear of the dark in the unknown, except for us — probably and hopefully — less induced.

The film won several Best Picture awards, Best Director and Best Sound Design — by Pallante and Jose Julian Santiago — at various festivals worldwide including the Los Angeles Independent Film Awards, The Oniros Film Awards in Italy, and The Northeast Film Festival Horror Fest in New Jersey,

As, yes, we did get clarification that the uncensored version will be on television. So, kids, cover your eyes, because this unrated short flick, only fifteen minutes long, has a brutal scene of violence that’s equivalent to the nastiness in Hellraiser. There are a couple good jump scares that are genuine and not forced so that was a plesant surprise. It’s hard to find a good horror short that actually scares you. Tune in and let us know what you think of the little short.
