Watch Crystal Porter Bazemore and Tawan Bazemore live red carpet interview below.
SOUND is about a woman named Isabelle Pisano (Crystal Porter Bazemore), is a photographer who suffers almost total hearing loss after a violent car accident...but a year later she regains her hearing....at an increased sensitivity and debilitating level. What appeared to be a miracle quickly becomes a nightmare when every sound is torture.
The film is a proof-of-concept for a feature script the team has in development. We are told the feature-length story is slightly different than our short.
The film was nominated for three awards for Best Actress for Crystal Porter Bazemore, Best Editing for Tawan Bazemore and won Best Concept Short Film at the Golden Door International Film Festival on September 22, 2019 at the Loew’s Jersey Theater in Jersey City, New Jersey. The film is written and directed by Tawan Bazemore.
