INDIE STUDIO SCORES BIG WITH LIMITED THEATRICAL DISTRIBUTION DEAL
SHORT FILM RELEASES TRAILER AND SCREENS IN HOLLYWOOD FOR A LIMITED ENGAGEMENT THIS SUMMER
RNF, the Multi-Award-winning independent American film studio from New York City, Founder/CEO Chase Michael Pallante - also the producer - of the Ten-time Award-winning short film Maturing Youth signed a theatrical distribution deal with newly-founded Fourwalled distributor to have the motion picture screen in Los Angeles, California for a limited engagement.
A special announcement from lead actor Sean A. Kaufman in the film. Watch below:
This grave achievement is something that is gaining buzz in the area. There are not too many times a short film, let alone most indie feature length films, that get the opportunity to have a limited theatrical release except, of course, for each years Academy Awards® nominees! Is this film gearing up to be submitted for an Oscar? We have not received a comment from the studio nor from the producer at this time. However, to extend on those possibilities, the film will be screening at the famous Laemmle Noho 7 theater in North Hollywood, owned and operated by Robert Laemmle, who’s father and uncle are cousins of Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle. Laemmle theaters provide services designed to enable a film to qualify for the Academy Awards®. So we will have to see what is in store for this little short film.
“Fourwalled represents the best Short Live Action, Animation and Documentary diverse films from filmmakers around the world and we are both honored and grateful to have our film with them and screen in Hollywood for this exclusive theater run. Our entire team at the studio, and all the cast and crew are incredibly excited and thrilled about this news”, says the studio executive of RNF and producer. “We are currently working around the clock producing new promotional content with the second official trailer to launch the films marketing campaign on Memorial Day.”
Here’s a special announcement from Pallante himself:
This powerful little short has made some impressive impact in the industry earning several awards at various national festivals. The nominations have all been for its brilliant performances by its actors even winning awards over Oscar contenders, Golden Globe and Emmy nominees and even a Tony-award winning performer! Every festival Maturing Youth has been screened at has not only been nominated for the top honor of Best Picture but also for the films impactful renditions by the Award-winning actors Sean A. Kaufman and Kim Paris and Darleen Rae Fontaine. The film opens alongside Toy Story 4 and Child’s Play.
The red carpet LA Premiere of the film is on Friday, June 21 and will be available at the box office until June 27 at the famous arthouse Laemmle Noho 7 Theater located in North Hollywood next door to The American Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Science — AKA The Oscars.
The film will be screening a matinee at 1:00 pm everyday during its full week run. Pre-sale tickets are now available on the films official website, on the distributors website and on the theaters website.
For those of you out of the country, the studio did comment by saying they are projecting the film to make its international premiere next year in 2020. But where? “Our goal is Europe first, particularly in the United Kingdom, however, we are scoping out several countries at the moment” says Pallante. More exciting news we will have to wait for. Until then, be sure to check out the film on Facebook and Instagram.
